Review of Alien: Covenant (2017) by Ollie D — 28 Jan 2019

This isn't the follow up to Prometheus we were expecting. But, while the film does dilute the themes from the previous film, David brings about a whole new origin for the xenomorphs. The film is also a lot more focused on raw terror as opposed to mystery and spookiness like it's predecessor with grusome deaths and jumpscares replacing the creepy landscapes and fear of the unknown from Prometheus.

Overall definitely worth seeing for any Alien franchise fan but may be disappointing for some who had cemented their expectations.
