Review of Alien: Covenant (2017) by Wiscojoe — 21 May 2017

Galactic Grand Guignol. I had a blast watching this movie, even when I was curled up in the fetal position with tears of fear streaming down my horrified face. Elegant, creepy, sinister, and profound in the most unsettling of ways.

This is the kind of perfectly-crafted horror film that pulls you in and then dares you to look away as the tension continues to build right until the final, unbearable moments. If you're willing to go along for the ride, (and the idea of yet another installment in yet another blockbuster franchise), you'll be shocked and delighted in equal measure.
