Review of Alien: Covenant (2017) by Common C — 14 Jun 2017
Even if you are going into this movie completely oblivious to the universe of the Alien franchise, you will still find yourself on the edge of your seat, both at the theater and at your house when you read deeper into the franchises infectiously intriguing plot.
The movie takes place in an awkward cut between the end of Prometheus and the beginning of Alien: Covenant, one that would feel more comfortable if the two were just compiled into one beautiful 4.5-hour film.
That being said, it also ends with an awkward sever between the end of Covenant and the beginning of the next film in this prologue series. One thing is for sure, my brain has already stowed the ending away, anxiously waiting for it to be pieced to the beginning of the next - and final - installment the series.
