Review of Alien: Covenant (2017) by Curtis K — 06 Sep 2017
This movie had potential to be one of the great ones but came up a little short. Spoilers***.
Dumb colonists that choose not to wear air protection again. Bring a contaminated human on board your ship. Great idea? Woman lets a little alien eat her while she's holding a knife. The David Walter swap should've been something everyone saw coming and should've had a way to decipher who is who. I hated the black goo turning into kind of a bee swarm and then mutating the engineers immediately on contact. That scene could've been written so much better. And why did we not get any of the story between prometheus and covenant? It would've also been nice to have seen these creatures evolve a little before immediately becoming super predators that already know how to kill. Please ridley don't fail us on the next one. Hire more scientists.
