Review of Alien: Covenant (2017) by Kevin F — 10 Aug 2017
Yet another film relating to the Alien franchise that hardly answers any of the questions it arises. Like Prometheus before it, Covenant is difficult to comprehend and very trying. It takes us to a planet where Michael Fassbender is an android and most of the cast is annihilated in a gory bloodbath.
Ridley Scott did however manage to link this installment to Ripley's Alien films by introducing how the Xenomorphs came to be, but there's a lot more that needs an explanation by the end. If this is to be a trilogy and another part is to be made, I hope it concludes these prequels in an understandable and satisfactory way.
