Review of Alien (1979) by Matt C — 30 Oct 2015

I don't think I've watched this film all the way through since it was a mainstay for ITV's Saturday night line-up seemingly every month in the early 90's. Such a good film though, it manages to make the nods to the classics of the genre such as '2001' it's old enough to have inspired many current entries as well like the recent 'Gravity'.

A cast of character actors lift the film so far above what could be a tedious stalker in space narrative. A real genuine classic.
