Masterful horror that apart of perfectly exploiting usual tools of the genre like building a terrific atmosphere and creating a horrifying villain also hits you from unexpected angles. By scattering sexual symbols throughout the movie it awakens our unconscious fears and anxieties about rape, unwanted pregnancy and gory childbirth.
