Review of Alien (1979) by Virgonoshaka — 21 Nov 2017
Alien is a sci-fi movie that really shows how to make a survival horror movie done right, and with its great atmosphere, designs, sound, characters, and production. It is a classic, in the way that every scene is excellent, has a great place in the narrative and the characters in general are so memorable.
The only reason it doesn't go into "masterpiece" level, is that there are a few small aspects that I just don't think are at the level of the rest of the movie. Nevertheless, this is a movie that is one of the best in its genre, and one for the list of movies you have to watch before you die, no matter if you like the type or not.
