Review of Ali (2012) by Tom L — 23 Mar 2009
Bit of a tough one to judge. Its starts off really slowly but, bit by bit, manages to pick up momentum. The film tends to split its focus between Ali's life and the world that he lives in - whether its America, Africa or Zaire.
I would say that is Will Smiths most diverse character, although you can still see some of his 'Prince' trends appear in small doses. The boxing sequences are nothing special, although the last fight in Zaire was pretty decent.
I would definately recommend it at least once but I wouldn't personally buy it.
