Review of We Are Still Here (2015) by Tom L — 19 Apr 2017
Started out promising, but lost me by the end. The cinematography and music set a seriously eerie tone straight from the beginning. There are some fun homages to classic horror in play, but what starts as an homage devolves into cliche, with some truly terrible acting.
I keep wondering if I simply missed something and it really was the smart, classic-inspired piece others saw, or if, as I suspect, it just fell flat. But I don't think I'll be watching it again to find out.
