Disappointing as an Alex Cross from the novels fan. I understand needing to update things and even artistic license changes but there was too many changes to significant characters and overall Alex Cross storyline.
If I had never read any of the novels I probably would have liked it much better. Tyler Perry was believable in the title role and if it had remained more true to the novels I would have looked forward to a sequel.
Ultimately glad I did not pay to see at the theater and wished I waited until it was on a premium movie channel instead of on demand.
