Review of Albert Nobbs (2011) by Caleb C — 14 Jan 2012
Some of what is here is very familiar in these types of films. I can see a lot of viewers getting bored with most of this feature. It's most redeeming factor is Glenn Close who is worthy of an oscar nom here, and the rest of the cast is quite great as well, but not entirely memorable.
The script however is not something that will get much attention. However, in the last half hour here, the payoff is well worth seeing this film for. It is one of the better and slightly heartbreaking films of the year.
