Review of Albert Nobbs (2011) by Courtney K — 24 Feb 2012
A sad, sad story of the lengths someone will go to when they've lived a lie for decades. Albert isn't just unaware of his (her) own dreams and desires but that people in the big, wide world have personal lives with romantic, soulful relationships in a variety of different formats.
Great cast, especially Close and McTeer. But Mia Wasikowska was just plain bad. Maybe she gave all her acting effort in Jane Eyre opposite Michael Fassbender, which is probably what I'd do too. Sorry Mia, but you sucked here.
