Review of Albert Nobbs (2011) by Vanessa C — 15 Jul 2012
I see it as too much of dramatic film, some its elements resounded with Robert Altman's Gosford Park (but don't get me fully mistaken for that). Glenn Close gives remarkable performance as Albert Nobbs, disguised male-waiter in 19th century.
It is lengthy film, full of dialogues. In my own words I'd call it salt-less curry. Maybe you should avoid this good-for-nothing film.
