Review of Aladdin (2019) by Marcmyworks — 02 Jun 2019
I feel if Disney is really going to reach a new generation of children, they need to stop dumbing down their films. The pacing is so quick at times that key lines such as 'Do you trust me', get lost in the mix.
The new song 'Speechless', though a great message, gets lost as it is inferior in its modernity. You also don't realize how strong the relationship with animals is in the animated feature until they are pushed over as second tier characters.
Overall a valiant effort but just doesn't really make for a memorable film.
