Review of Aladdin (1992) by Erik G — 24 Jan 2012
'Disney's Aladdin' tells the greatest tale of how a poor street rat named Aladdin - the big hero of the story - becomes a prince by a wish of a genie and his magical lamp and meets Princess Jasmine.
Meanwhile, when the evil Jafar - the big villain of the story - plans to take over and rule Agrabah, it's time for Aladdin to battle him. What a great movie! I watched a lot of this movie during my childhood so I could follow along with the actions of Aladdin by watching this movie and its two direct-to-video sequels, 'The Return Of Jafar' and 'Aladdin And The King Of Thieves'.
Those were the days. Today, I'm all grown-up now, and while I'm hoping to watch 'Disney's Aladdin' again one time, I could always wonder the location of the real Agrabah. The movie has a Middle Eastern setting, so I would say that the fictional city was located somewhere in Arabia.
..and hence comes the main title song "Arabian Nights".
