Review of Aladdin (1992) by Matthew L — 18 Feb 2015
More fondly remembered these days for Robin Williams turn as the Genie, and Disney's early use of CG in the backgrounds and on a few key sequences. Overall the film is fairly flat and only comes to life when the Genie is on screen, Aladdin and Jasmine are flat and wet behind the ears but Jafar is the only one able to compete with the Genie in a scenery chewing turn.
Not the classic it was/is hailed as but still massively entertaining.
