Aladdin (1992) ???
An Egyptian urchin finds a Genie lamp and asks to appear as a prince so he'll have the chance of marrying a beautiful princess. Meanwhile sinister villain wants to be married so he'll become king. A conventional story is overcome by surprisingly endearing characters and neat songs . . . but Robin William's hilarious performance -- as a shtick Genie -- steals the picture! Oscars for song "A Whole New World", and Alan Menken's Score.
