This movie is all about Story and Performance, which comes down to writing and casting. Well done all around. Lawrence Fishburne and Keke Palmer had amazing on-screen chemistry. The story was really strong, characters deep and the message "you can do anything if you set your mind to it" is great.
For my children, I focused on reminding them that your friends may not always support when you follow a dream that doesn't directly include them. But don't let that deter you, because it just may be the challenge that reveals the character of your friendship.
