Review of Akeelah and the Bee (2006) by Kerwin L — 29 Feb 2008
Gem of a movie that sadly came and went without fanfare, deserves to be seen and talked about. I recommend it for its touching performances, earnest acting and most of all the filmmakers didn't chicken out by going with a predictable ending, instead they crafted a pleasantly surprising and uplifting conclusion.
Will make you feel good about the world we live in.
