"Can you fly this plane & land it?". Movie Matt here with Airplane!, the funniest film of 1980. It was also the first "parody" movie where a specific genre is spoofed in a rather outrageously funny manner.
This case, it's the disaster genre, mainly a little known 1957 film called "Zero Hour!" & the "Airport" series. The gags (both visual & verbal) start immediately and don't stop until the end of the film.
Trust me, you'll be laughing from beginning to end, mainly with the late Leslie Nielsen as the doctor. Surely you can't be serious? I am serious and don't call me Shirley.
