Airplane! Is One of the first real parodies that are absolutely hilarious to watch. Jim Abrahams and Jerry and David Zucker write and direct this laughing riot. The disater genre was on its knees in the late 70's so why not make fun of how ridiculous the movies have gotten? Sounds good to me. Airplane! follows a air force pilot trying to get the woman of his dreams back when he boards a plane trying to get her back. But things get awry as some food poisoning leads to the pilots being killed. This leads to hilarious gags and amazing dialog. Airplane! is a movie I thought wouldn't be that funny. But I was wrong. Its amazing. Its one of the funniest films I have ever seen and this is for an 80's film! Everyone deserves an applause. There is a hilarious scene where a girl goes nuts and everyone gets in a line to beat her and say everything is going to be ok. I have never seen anything this funny since Scary Movie. Airplane! Is one of the best comedies ever made.
