Treading the same ground as Good Morning Vietnam, Air America paints-by-numbers but entertains with its buddy cop duo of Mel Gibson and Robert Downey Jr. There are also plenty of â??That Guyâ?? actors populating the pilots and spooks with Jack Death himself (Tim Thomerson) chewing some serious scenery.
Sure, it drags the same tired Vietnam message and hammers some soft morality into yer noggin but youâ??ve seen Apocalypse Now and you can handle it. Fun fodder for the actors. VF.
