Touching in some ways, but very obscure and a little creepy in other ways. This film definitely lived up to its credentials in terms of visual effects and original score (John Williams is just that good), but I felt the storyline was a little lacking.

It started off consistently, but then seemed to jump around - all while progressing very slowly throughout. Even though the ending seemed to bring closure to the film, many holes were left open. However, I would like to say I learned something from this film: humans will ultimately bear shame from "playing God" by creating life without knowing the full consequences of these actions.

Thus, the creations will hopelessly fall victim due to the fallen, imperfect world they inhabit. Overall, I'm not a huge fan of science-fiction films, and I don't think this is Spielberg's best work.

Instead of being a film to enjoy, it turned into a film that will be remembered for its tediousness...yet its strange way of making viewers think.
