Review of A.I. Artificial Intelligence (2001) by Ben B — 27 Jul 2011
Spielberg has a way of making a film that, once it's done, you feel as though you've woken up. It's a marvel in a way that only Kubrick could've helped him make and has the touch of a film that was ahead of its time and would live on, even if it wasn't in Spielberg's canon.
Though it may be a bit longwinded in the way the film brings its story about, it really is amazing. David's character arc, his emotional core is what matters and where Spielberg takes us within that is affecting, even magical.
