Review of A.I. Artificial Intelligence (2001) by Rory H — 09 Aug 2013

Definitely an underrated classic, that pays dividends on multiple watching. Strong acting, special effects that will last and a clever transhumanist theme bottled up in a Pinnochio-inspired adventure. The only flaw I saw was a little too much exposition in the final sequence - it would have been better to show not tell though out.

For me, however, certainly on a par with both 2001: A Space Odyssey and E.T. which is what most critics were comparing it to when it came out. And I don't say that lightly.
