Review of Aguirre, the Wrath of God (1972) by Nate C — 17 Apr 2011
A truly mad film that plunges the viewer deeper into torment, until they fully feel as if they were part of the entire chaos erupting on screen. Kinski's radiating performance and Herzog's tense, yet surprisingly straight forward and almost subtle direction, get top marks in a film that succeeds on almost all levels.
