Review of Aguirre, the Wrath of God (1972) by Jonathan B — 13 Feb 2009
One of my favourite films of all time. FACT. Herzog's first collaboration with cinementalist Klaus Kinski (please read Herzog on Herzog or watch the doco 'my best fiend' for more on their rather turbulent relationship) and the film which cemented his place as one of the worlds most inventive and creative film maker.
Mutinous conquistadors lead by an unbalanced Kinski travel down the amazon in search of Eldorado descend into madness. nuff said.
