Review of Aguirre, the Wrath of God (1972) by Paul P — 11 Feb 2010
The mood of this film stays with you. The cinematography and the score are outstanding. The story, dialogue and characters were a little too minimalist for me. But Klaus Kinski is scary good as Aguirre.
When you watch his eyes you can see actual, real madness in them. The last 15-20 minutes when the shit hits the fan are so captivating.
