Review of Aguirre, the Wrath of God (1972) by Alec B — 17 Jun 2010
Its alright, not as good as Herzog's magnificent return to Peru in "Fitzcarraldo" . Its a really wonderful idea and I think it starts great. The film drags terribly for much of the final act which is strange given that its only an hour and a half.
Kinski is great in it, he speaks volumes with just a simple facial expression.
