I thoroughly enjoyed this film. I'm a big fan of Amenábar, and he did not disappoint with this film. I can see how some people might view it as a anti-Catholic film, but I thought it did a good job of presenting the history around Alexandria as well.
For me, the most tragic moment of the film was the desecration of the library -- it made me cry!
