Review of Agora (2009) by Cath B — 12 Mar 2011
The atheist equivalent of 'Passion of the Christ', it may not be very accurate but it is such a long time ago it is hard to be sure. Weisz is great in the lead in a film that should've got a wider release, possibly there are a few conspiracy theories to explain its lack of showing in America in particular.
The direction is of a high order. I especially enjoyed the many provoking helicopter and satellite shots.
