Despite a slightly heavy-handed plot, "Agnes of God" is a tight, suspenseful spiritual thriller held up by three knockout performances. Jane Fonda and Anne Bancroft are outstanding, but Meg Tilly is specifically impressive as the title character who raises more questions than answers.
