Review of Age of the Dragons (2011) by Lilianetty L — 15 Jan 2012
First of all it looked more like an indie movie with low budget to me...well I think it was. The cast was very new to me, of course, Danny Glover was the only one who wasn't new to me. Anyway here is my review for it since I read somewere it was an adaptation or based on a novel called Moby Dick.
Plot: A boy it's told that fight over a dragon to save what was left of his sister who was killed by the creature. He was burned and has a mark on him. Nobody knows how he survived. Years later a group of hunters will need his help to find the White Dragon and his nest. How this will end? Will they resolve the mystery behind the marked man? Stars for the story-telling? A few.
Acting: The cast was fine and ok. Some did not so well, for example Larry, David Morgan and Sofia were the least I was expecting to prove me wrong. They did not nailed quite well their characters, but I can say Sofia did great but could do better like the rest of them. Danny as the boy from the story (now an adult duh, since he represents the marked man) was great but as far as I can see, he has lost some of his amazing and talented skills since he is a veteran actor. Corey did ok but could do great also. Stars for the effort of the crew, cast and director? A few.
Music: The musicians did a great job here obviously. So yes, stars for the beautiful score of this movie which I keep thinking is more of a indie film with low budget (you could see that the dragons are not so well done in CGI).
To end this review, 3 stars of 5. Enjoy and HASTA LA PROXIMA AMIGOS/AS! CHAO! BLESS YOU ALL!!!
