Review of Aftershock (2012) by Hugo G — 11 May 2013
Well, other than feeling extremely disappointed, it wasn't the worst film I've seen. AFTERSHOCK, was supposed to be that "New Style of Horror" movie that mixes the elements of a Natural Disaster (an Earthquake) with the debauchery of the HOSTEL films.
The mixture, though sounds good on paper, didn't really blend well post production. Eli Roth (the director of the HOSTEL films and co-writer of AFTERSHOCK) actually stars in this film and surprisingly, does a fairly good job.
This unfortunately, was the highlight of the film. AFTERSHOCK is graphic, gory and fresh however, I wouldn't consider it a Horror film nor a good one.
