Review of After the Wedding (2006) by Sajib K — 31 May 2009

A simple movie with a long-lasting effect. A wealthy businessman fighting for a terminal disease who is jubilant despite his numbered days, a devoted social worker who has seeds from his long-forgotten love, a woman who has to hold her family upright, a newly-wed young woman whose life is gonna change after the wedding - this film is all about complex characterization with finest subtlety.

I specially like the part where Mads Mikkelsen is in horse's dilemma - whether he will stick to his new destination or get back to where he really belonged in heart and soul. Astonishing!!
