Got me interested, then uninterested, and completely blew up in the end. The thought experiment first goes to the side of pure logic (but fails at that even for the sake of drama). Then to the side of pure emotion.

Where is even the thought of something like a middle ground? Never to be seen throughout the entire movie. It didn't need to be there for it to be a better movie but the choices taken should have been fleshed out better.

On one hand you have the purely logical side, that's shown as to be utterly without merit (i mean completely). With illogical (ironically so) twists. Then we go to the side of pure emotion, exalting the arts and joy of living even to the point of, let's just kill ourselves cause it's on our terms, even though we aren't in harms way.

And ofc - the bombs don't fall in that scenario. What you end up with is as in many movies as of late, something that starts as a good idea, gets watered down completely through the course of the movie and ends up as the movie that you can't quite grasp why you wanted to watch in the first place.

... complete with the soap opera ending. But this time a sligthly darker one. Went to see the reviews after I've seen it and can't for the life of me fathom the 75% fresh rating as some of the reviews i've read from the list, don't compliment the movie at all but still give it a fresh rating.
