It's too easy not to like the ending but, perhaps, there is more to it only hinted at in the very final moments. Regardless of one's feelings it doesn't feel "tacked on" even though it seems like it should; there appears to be a logic to it not just within the context of the story but within the context of the underlying philosophy. I offer it the benefit of the implied doubt.
At it's most basic it is a refreshing bit of entertainment, and an effort the likes of which do not come around very often in a generation.
