Review of After the Dark (2013) by Leong C — 18 Dec 2014
The premise is interesting, but pretty much everything else is ridiculous. The thought experiments are inconsistent, the people's actions often make no sense whatsoever, and what is supposed to be the main topic of the movie - how to choose who stays in the shelter - gets very little discussion. Not to mention that the movie's idea of a witticism on the professor's part is forcing a student to stay in class by threatening to lower her boyfriend's grade.
If you're intrigued by the premise, just run the thought experiment in your head for five minutes. That's about as much as you'll get from the movie anyway.
