Review of After Hours (1985) by Lindsay A — 07 Apr 2008
Possibly one of the most bizarre films I've ever seen. I found myself laughing out loud at things that are impossible to relate (but obviously intentional); Griffin Dunne's facial expressions, the brilliantly awkward dialogue, the gruesome graffiti on the bathroom wall.
Reminiscent of /Network/ but the weirdness starts from the very beginning--so it never seems suddenly over-the-top.
