Review of After Hours (1985) by Jason H — 06 Jul 2008
An amazingly underappreciated Scorsese film. Dunne is good in his lead role and the others, especially Arquette and Heard, are all pretty good. The athmosphere is great as in nearly all of Scorsese's pictures.
This is a funny, tense, original movie that benefits greatly from good direction and it's New York setting. The nightmareish story is crazy and at times bordering surreal...well it might cross the border a time or two.
Just a really good movie.
