Review of After Hours (1985) by Elliot D — 29 Jul 2008
A great Martin Scorsese film from the 1980s.
Because Scorsese is mainly so often applauded for Goodfellas, Raging Bull, Taxi Driver and recently the Departed, anyone who looks over his entire career will see how many underrated films he has. After hours is one of the underrated films, some people call it his take on North by Northwest which is a good way of looking at it. The film is pretty hard to define but most of his works are, because he's hardly ever made a pure genre film, he makes films about real people and combining it with elements from almost every genre, After Hours may be the best example of that, defiantly not one to miss for Scorsese fans.
