One of Scorcese's more obscure films with a fantastic Griffin Dunne (who is the zombie one in American Werewolf in London) stuck in a paranoid nightmare in Manhattan late one night after he loses his money in a speeding taxi on the way to meet a girl he just met in a coffee shop.

I can't claim to make much sense of what goes on or what it all means but it is excellently filmed, funny in places and quite tense in others. It's almost a screwball, wacky comedy except the whole atmosphere doesn't fit that tone.

Recommended as long as you don't mind films that don't quite make sense.
