Review of After Hours (1985) by Darrell H — 27 Jan 2010
I knew this was a very trippy movie going in, but my god did I love it. The events that unfold on this rainy night in SoHo are so weird and odd that you can't help but feel sorry for Paul (Griffin Dunne).
Things just get weirder and weirder along the way; all he wants to do is get back home to sleep. If you've ever had a random night like this, out on the town, seeing, running into and meeting weird and unusual situations that we wouldn't normally see, then you will relate to and possibly even love this film.
Weird stuff all around, but as the films says, "there's just something different after hours.".
