Emotional Factor: Low.
Intelligence Required: Medium.
Essential Viewing: No.
Don't get me wrong, I really liked this movie. I am on what I guess the kids would refer to as "team" Scorsese. But I just don't love it as much as most seem to. I feel like this movie gets a bit too much praise. To me it's one of those things like saying you like Physical Graffitti more than Houses Of The Holy just so you come off as cool or more in the know. I just can not rate this movie on the same level as the majority of his other work. For Scorsese heads it is a must see like all of his films, but for newbies or casual fans, I don't think your going to be converted here.
