Review of After Earth (2013) by Sarah P — 24 Jan 2014
Apparently, in the future, humans evolved a strange dialect of the English language in which they no longer annunciate their R's and L's, and have shortened all long vowel sounds. First, this really isn't a Will Smith film, but another attempt to promote his son as an actor.
In fact, they have very little on screen time together and the story revolves mostly around Jaden's character. Had I known that, as well as, it being an M. Night Shyamalan film, I probably would have skipped it.
I think it is time Will comes to terms with his son's lack of acting ability. Otherwise he is just going to tarnish an otherwise wonderful career. I wouldn't bother with this one.
