Review of After Earth (2013) by Kieran L — 25 Mar 2014
THIS CONTAINS SPOILERS:
This movie was awesome! Given its not the first "return to earth" films, but I truly loved some of the real sentimental moments of the movie, very heart felt. What I loved is that it wasn't so cliche, for instance in every "back to earth" film you always find that there were some humans that survived some way after being left behind....also after the story of his farther almost drowning I thought they would have a cliche moment where the son experiences his "moment of fearlessness" almost drowning as well, that didnt happen either, and God knows I just knew the father would die at the end because "someone always has to die after an epic journey" but they got their kills out of the way early...I'm a big fan of this movie....the connection with the bird touched me so deeply, the different creatures inhabiting earth were amazing, I truly enjoyed the film personally...it kept my attention and didn't have redundant satire I actually wouldn't mind seeing it a second time!
They could have put away the accents though lol.
