Review of After Earth (2013) by Raji K — 24 Apr 2014
A father and son find themselves stranded on Earth after their spacecraft is in a crash. The Earth is not as we know it, instead it has evolved to the point that each species has evolved to kill humans, and the climate involves extremely large contrasts of heat and cold.
The son must retrieve the emergency beacon alone with his father handicapped. After Earth has a decent premise and is entertaining at some points. The views of the planet from high up places were really cool, but I was hoping this movie would throw a bit more things at you, but it instead goes through a pretty generic path and is quite dissapointing.
