Review of After Earth (2013) by Walter M — 24 Jul 2015
The combination of the premise and the cast, I believed that M. Night Shyamalan could get back on track. However, just like The Last Airbender, I could not wait for this film to be over. From the writing to the acting to the directing, this film is a total letdown.
It is astonishing how far this hole keeps getting for this once great director. Besides everything feeling like it never once meshed as a true piece of art, there was a very slim silver lining. The CGI and the atmosphere is beautiful, which will keep your attention for as little as that is worth.
