Review of Advise & Consent (1962) by Jeff B — 30 May 2007

Good political drama about the president's nomination of Secretary of State. A great cast with Henry Fonda, Don Murray, Walter Pidgeon, and Charles Laughton (in his final film). The first hour was great, but near the middle it dragged a little bit, like when they focused on the board leader, but it was still good.

Actually, I think it was probably Brig's wife that bugged me, I think she overacted, and was just too whiny. It had a good suspenseful ending, but it seemed a bit too much of a perfect timing. Anyway, overall, very good movie, check it out if you can.

Burgess Meredith also gives a nice little cameo.
